Quality Questioning class at Garcia MS. It was quite a morning. The power went out for a little bit. I ran late and of course caught all of the red lights, got stuck behind the slow slow drivers, and etc. When I finally made it to Garcia, all of the parking spots were taken! I had to park out in a rocky area on the side of the school. This was the view from my car. Tomorrow I will get there early!
Information about my class: The class was about higher order questioning in the elementary classroom. I learned that teachers ask way too many questions during a specific content time frame. It should be quality over quantity AND by increasing wait time from 1 second to 3-5 seconds, participation increases by 300%. That's right, 300%! That's major! If you want the notes, let me know!
