Day 37

Last night we had this crazy storm out of nowhere! Will and I were talking after dinner in the dining room, and I kept hearing this crazy wind and our lights were flickering. We looked outside to see Lubbock winds! It was almost 8:28, which meant it was almost time for Local on the 8s (Weather Channel). As soon as the Local on the 8s began, the power went out! It went on and off a couple of times, then stayed off! There was tons of lightning and lots of wind. Poor Sammy tried to find a place to hide and eventually ended up in Will's closet. Hedwig was not bothered at all by the storm. Our power was out until around 10pm. The power also went out at school. Our clocks were frozen at 8:27 for half of the day. We also did not have phones or internet until around noon. No one said the last day was going to be easy! We also saw this tree branch that did not make it through the storm at school. Some of this branch was also in the street. That was the craziest storm I have ever been through!
