Adventures in Cooking #1 - Pot Roast

Tonight we decided to try making pot roast for the first time.  We need to clear some room from the freezer, and heck, roast is awesome anyway.  After some internet searching we found some ideas we liked and decided on this list of ingredients:

2 or 3 pound chuck roast (sorry, but it came in an unmarked package from the parents Dunn)
2 cans campbells condensed cream of mushroom soup (10.75 oz)
1 can water (10.75 oz)
1 pkg baby carrots, chopped in half
1 onion, chopped
3 potatoes, chopped
3 cloves garlic, diced
pepper
chili powder
oregano (dried)
chives (dried)
parsley (dried)
salt (mostly dried)

We threw it all together and gave it a few stirs, and now we plan to cook it overnight on low.  Linda was making fun of me because I was bending over it and staring inside - but I can't help that it looks so scrumptious.

As an aside, I'd like to add that the crock pot is the number one must-have kitchen item.  Okay, maybe number two after the pizza slicer.

I'll give an update later on how it turns out.  Stay tuned!
