On Thursday, Will and I ventured out to see the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon. We made it back to the hotel around 1am! By that time, we were way beyond tired and couldn't sleep! We packed, had some ice water, M&M's, and watched TV before falling asleep. Before too long our alarms woke us up! We had less than two hours of sleep before getting up, getting all of our stuff together (including gathering up all of the hotel bath and shower stuff), checking out, driving all over to find a gas station, turning in the rental car (the Yaris was really good!), getting on a shuttle to the airport, going through security (twice -- don't bring a snow globe on the plane as a carry-on), having enough time in the DFW airport to grab lunch and a quick bathroom break before getting back on and heading back to San Antonio! We saw these signs when we drove into the San Antonio Airport and thought they were really funny! It is also a fun way to show that we made it home! We celebrated our homecoming by having dinner at Chacho's with Tyler and Dan and indulging ourselves in some awesome margaritas! Our Vegas vacation was so much fun, but there is nothing quite like being at home!
