How to: Make a spaghetti dinner

I thought it would be fun to include a how to part in our blog as well as the Project 365 and random posts. The first in this series is How to make a spaghetti dinner.

Step 1:
Brown ground meat in pan. Here we have 2 lbs lean meat but in the spaghetti we only used 1lb.

While the meat is browning, I like to add some kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder to the meat.

Step 2:
Start warming up the oven for garlic bread. I like the crust crunchy and the bread still soft. I put the temperature to 325 degrees.

Step 3:
When ground meat is brown, it's time to drain the meat juice.

Step 4:
Prepare the garlic bread. You can use regular sliced bread, but I like to use french bread from the local grocery store.

Step 5:
Cut the bread in half.

Step 6:
Spread butter on bread. Then sprinkle kosher salt, garlic powder and parsley. When oven is ready, put bread in for 3 minutes for crunchy crust and soft bread. For crispier bread, put in at a higher temperature for about 5 minutes.

Step 7:
Start boiling pot of water for noodles. I usually put the temperature on high to get the process moving along faster. I also put in a pinch of kosher salt.

Step 8:
When water boils, put in noodles. Cook for specified time on your noodle packet. Make sure to stir noodles every now and then.

Step 9:
Add the pasta sauce to ground meat. Make sure you coat all of the meat in sauce.

Step 10:
Enjoy!
