Hey guys! It's been a while since our last post! This year I convinced Will to take off of work the whole week I had for spring break. We had a busy week, so of course I got sick the Thursday before. We spent our week in Oklahoma City, Lubbock, and of course, good ol' San Antonio. I will separate this blog by city.
Oklahoma City, OK
We left for Oklahoma City on Sunday the 14th. It was a very long drive! There was a lot of construction when we drove into Oklahoma. We finally arrived in Oklahoma City a few hours later than we projected. We had dinner with Tristan, Ginger, RoseEllen, and the kids. Will, RoseEllen and I shared a bedroom. RoseEllen had a daybed while Will and I slept on bunk beds, with Will on the top bunk. The next morning we got up, ate breakfast, got dressed and went to the Science Museum of Oklahoma. We had plans to go to the zoo, but the weather had other ideas. We had a blast at the museum! Will climbed up a huge playground and slid down a huge slide with our niece and nephew. Will and I also went on a segway tour. We made souvenir pennies for the kids and I bought an "I miss Pluto" t-shirt. The kids rode with Will and I in the car and did really well! Will showed off our new Macbook and taught everyone how to play chess. Garrett really got into it! He remembered the names and the different directions each piece went. I think someone is getting a chess board for Christmas! We left Oklahoma City Tuesday morning.
Lubbock, TX
After the long drive and a lunch outside of Amarillo, we arrived in Lubbock around 4:30pm. We drove to Texas Tech campus and picked up my Mom from work early. We went back to my parent's house and hung out. Dad came home and made dinner. I brought along my Tazo Zen Green Tea and shared with my Mom and Dad. They really liked the tea! The Zen tea is green tea with spearmint and lemongrass. So good! On Wednesday, Dad had to go to work so Will, Mom, Annie, and myself went around town. We went to the Ranching Heritage Center and took a walking tour around the houses. After the Ranching Heritage Center, we had lunch at Chimy's (of course), walked around campus, and then we went back to the house. It is always so great to visit Lubbock. Every time we go, I miss it even more.
San Antonio, TX
Back home in San Antonio, Will and I cleaned house and then lazied around until it was time to go back to work.
We had a great Spring Break! We are ready for summer!
